Slovakian blue-liner brings AHL, ECHL, IHL experience to Mid-South

 

 

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. – The Mississippi RiverKings of the Central Hockey League announced the signing of defenseman Milan Maslonka to the team’s roster for the upcoming 2010-2011 season. The native of Zvolen, Slovakia becomes the 12th overall signing announcement by the RiverKings and the third defenseman announcement made in the off-season.

Predators’ secondary developmental affiliate since 2007 has won two of the last three Kelly Cup titles



NASHVILLE, Tenn.  – Nashville Predators President of Hockey Operations/General Manager David Poile announced today that the club has renewed its affiliation with the ECHL’s Cincinnati Cyclones. The Cyclones have served as Nashville’s secondary developmental affiliate since the 2007-08 season, winning a pair of Kelly Cup titles (2008 and 2010) in that span.

SOUTHAVEN, Miss. – The Mississippi RiverKings of the Central Hockey League (CHL) have announced they have signed rookie forward Ryan Kretzer for the upcoming 2010-11 CHL regular season. Kretzer becomes the seventh forward and tenth overall addition to the RiverKings’ roster for the upcoming season.

A speed merchant with the ability to score points and mix it up when necessary, RiverKings Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations Kevin “Killer” Kaminski is looking forward to seeing what the 5-foot-7, 170 pound Kretzer can do on the ice. “Ryan is small in stature, but plays with grit, heart and passion,” Kaminski said. “He has wicked speed, good hockey sense and loves to play in traffic to score goals. I look forward to seeing what he can do at the professional level.”

N. Thomas Berry and Joseph Turner Honored with Conference Titles

 

TEMPE, AZ (August 4, 2010) – Central Hockey League (CHL) Commissioner Duane Lewis announced today that the league will recognize two infamous figures for both the CHL and the International Hockey League (IHL) as the title names for the league’s two respective conferences for the 2010-11 season.

The CHL announced on June 1 that they have affiliated with the IHL with five teams joining the CHL for the upcoming season (Bloomington, Dayton, Evansville, Fort Wayne and Quad City).
