Capitals Kick Off Second Annual Caps on Tap Bar Tour Before Home Opener

Budweiser and DC101 to Sponsor Event on Oct. 7

WASHINGTON, D.C. The Washington Capitals have teamed up with Budweiser and DC101 for the second annual Caps on Tap downtown bar tour. The event will take place leading up to the Capitals home opener against the Stanley Cup champion Carolina Hurricanes on Saturday, Oct. 7, at 7 p.m.

 Fans can register at R.F.D. located at 810 7th Street, NW, one block north of the Verizon Center, and then roam to other participating bars from 1-7 p.m. The $25 advance registration includes a wristband for entrance into the seven participating bars, discounts on Budweiser products and a ticket to the Capitals game that evening. Tickets for the bar tour may also be purchased the day of the event at R.F.D. for $30 for the registration and game ticket package or for $5 for fans who have already purchased a game ticket.

 

 

 The Caps on Tap bar tour will return three times throughout the season: Saturday, Dec. 2, Saturday, Feb. 10, and Saturday, April 7 – the Capitals’ final game of the season.

Capitals season ticket plans are now available for the 2006-07 season. Full season tickets, weekend plans and 11-game plans start as low as $14 per game. Plan holders can also take advantage of the Caps PowerPay option – monthly payments with no fees or charges. Single-game tickets are on sale now at all Ticketmaster outlets.
