Raleigh beat Montgomery (Maryland) 4-2 in the Championship game, overcoming a 2-0 deficit with a strong third period to win the coveted Martinez championship banner for the southeast district and a trip to Canada.
Raleigh was led by excellent goaltending and blue line play in a semi-final shutout win over Baltimore to earn a trip to the finals.
The Renegade offense provided plenty of fireworks in wins over Ramapo (New Jersey), Chesapeake (Maryland), and Metro (DC) teams on the way to earning a birth in the semi-finals.

Goaltenders Chase Jenkins and Ben Glowka were stellar posting a team GAA of 1.00 for the tournament.
The swift skating and hard hitting Renegade defense was stingy in only giving up five goals the entire tournament.
The Renegades blue liners are Evan Graber, Zach Hickman, Joe Hobbes, Garrett Poulos, Logan Smith, and Larry Urgo.
The explosive Renegade offense put up 29 goals over 5 games while showcasing speed and precision puck movement. The forwards are led by captain Eric Horton and include Matt Lewin, Ryan Lenzmeier, Landon Pope, Brian Furnari, Brandon Lohmiller, Max Armitage, Chris Powers, and Chad Friesen.
The Raleigh Renegades will travel to Niagara Falls, Ontario in January to represent the southeast district in the Silver Stick finals tournament, which includes 64 teams from across the U.S and Canada.

No Stopping Raleigh Peewees

Not to be out done by their older bantam club mates, the Raleigh (North Carolina) Renegades peewees outscored their opponents 41-7 in early October at the Gardens Ice House in Columbia, Md., rolling to four victories, a regional Silver Sticks championship and a trip to the Silver Stick finals in Canada.
The Renegades whipped the New Jersey Bandits for the second time in the tournament 12-0 in the Eastern Regional title game. They opened the event with a 10-1 thumping of the Bandits, followed by 8-2 and 11-4 wins over the Frederick (Maryland) Fury and Southern Maryland Sabres, respectively.
The Carolinians qualified for the Silver Stick finals the weekend of Jan. 11-14 in Niagara Falls, Ont. They’ll be one of 64 teams from across the U.S. and Canada competing for the 2007 peewee B championship.
The Renegades got stellar goaltending from the tandem of Trevor Lenzmeier and Tyler Sampson, who combined for a 1.75 tournament goals against average.
Lenzmeier and Sampson got lots of help from the Renegades’ corps of defensemen: Matt deGroot, Ben DeMartino, Logan Droste, Ryan Moreno, Quinn Riggs and Collin Zimmer.
The Raleigh offense, which featured speed and puck control, was led by captain Kevin Coughlin. The other forwards were Devin Allen, James Becherer, Tyler Glass, Robert Powers, Colin Reilly, Greg Resch, Charlie Slone and Matt Wallis.  p
