BOSSIER CITY, LA -- At a special ceremony this afternoon featuring Bossier-Shreveport Mudbugs players, staff, and fans, the River Goddess Statue in the middle of the Louisiana Boardwalk in Bossier City was unveiled wearing a purple and teal Mudbugs jersey. The jersey will remain on the statue for the duration of the Mudbugs' playoff run. They are currently tied in their best-of-seven Northern Conference Semifinals series with the Wichita Thunder, 1-1.
"We would like to thank Tony Smith and the entire staff of the Louisiana Boardwalk for showing their great support during our playoff run," said Mudbugs General Manager Jason Rent. "We hope to have that jersey up there for a while and also look forward to having our fans come down and see it at the Boardwalk."
