The Hampton Roads Whalers Midget U-18 team crusuises through the CBHL Semi-finals with  2-1 Shootout victory over the Southern Maryland Sabres

Eleven months ago, thirteen boys and one girl got together to make up the current roster of the U18A Whalers.  They were brought together, all as individuals, and all with anxious hearts and hopes of scoring a lot of goals and playing in a lot of games. Goals they have scored, games they have won, but somewhere early along the way the focus changed.  That focus had to do with what others didn’t give them much of a shot at - winning the U18A Wales CBHL Championship.

Nick Leigh Receives NCAA Varisty Collegiate Hockey offers

They said it couldn't be done here but it has occurred nonetheless. An unprecedented seven players in the current Atlanta Knights Junior Hockey program have received offers to play NCAA Varsity Collegiate hockey with Division I and III institutions. Five other Knights players are under consideration by NCAA programs for 2010.
